Star
This project is a web redesign concept for Cinéma Star, an independent art-house cinema in Strasbourg, aiming to modernize its digital presence and attract a broader audience. The proposal focuses on improving usability, readability, and visual appeal while preserving the cinema’s cultural and independent identity through a contemporary interface inspired by streaming platforms.

The redesign is built around navigation patterns commonly used in streaming and video-game platforms, including a persistent vertical menu and content displayed through cards and carousels. This structure allows users to browse films, schedules, and information quickly while optimizing screen space and reducing cognitive load.
The visual identity relies on a dark, neutral background derived from Cinéma Star’s existing brand colors, enhanced with a subtle gradient to add depth and movement. A contrasting turquoise accent is used strategically to highlight key actions such as calls-to-action and interactive components, reinforcing visual hierarchy and clarity.
Typography and interface components are designed to be clean and accessible, ensuring a smooth browsing experience across content-heavy pages. Overall, the project balances modern digital standards with the cinema’s established identity, creating a functional and engaging platform suited to both regular cinephiles and new audiences.
